Ten Years of Honing Her Craft: A Master Welder's Triumph

— Luo Shilian of Yangzhou Jinyuan Wins First Prize at the Gaoyou City Welder Skills Competition

In a workshop where sparks fly, she is a woman who holds her own against any man. On a competition floor where every millimeter counts, she is a true champion who outshines the field. She is Luo Shilian, a female welder at Yangzhou Jinyuan Lighting Co., Ltd.

Winning on Merit

The Gaoyou City "Tianxiang Cup" Welder Vocational Skills Competition recently came to a successful close. Organized jointly by the Gaoyou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Gaoyou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and the People's Government of Songqiao Town, the event brought together 56 of the city's best welders.

On the competition floor, contestants crouched in their helmets as blue-white arcs flared and sparks flew across their focused faces. Luo Shilian stayed calm and steady-handed. With solid fundamentals and outstanding technique, she rose above the competition and won first prize. At the awards session following the opening ceremony, she accepted her certificate of honor in her work uniform, a fitting recognition of years of dedication.

Ten Years of Dedication, A Craftsman's Heart

Behind the honor lie ten years of unwavering persistence. Welding demands both physical strength and mental discipline: a weld must look flawless, and it must also pass ultrasonic testing with zero defects. Every seam bears on the quality and safety of the product, and there is no room for carelessness.

Reflecting on her experience, Luo Shilian said:

"I think the most important things in welding are attention to detail and patience."

Through countless hours of practice, she has refined her skills, treating every weld as a piece of finished work.

Asked what gives her the greatest sense of accomplishment, she smiled and said:

"Seeing something I welded myself turn out beautiful."

In these simple words one can hear a craftsman's love and pride for her work.

Shining in an Ordinary Role

To Luo Shilian, every perfect weld is the best promise of "Jinyuan quality." Her ten years of commitment show what the craftsman's spirit truly means: not slacking because a job seems ordinary, not shrinking from hard work, and doing a simple thing so well that it becomes extraordinary.

Congratulations to Luo Shilian! And our salute to every Jinyuan employee who shines quietly in an ordinary role!
